As the strategy lead of OMD Hong Kong, Anthony Lau leads a team of 8 people that is responsible for the strategic output of OMD HK’s client portfolio.
Working in close collaboration with the research team and reporting to OMD HK’s CEO, Anthony ensures that his team oversees the entire spectrum of the strategy function – ideation, business & communication planning, media innovation and integration. Anthony also heads OMD HK’s training effort and is a key contributer on people development projects. Anthony started by reinventing the agency’s workflow. Namely “purposeful innovation”, he advoated an insight centric planning approach. By combining social insights and data analytics, the model looks for a closer relation between evolving consumer behavior and business performances, hence coming up with strategy and executions that directly address more business issues. He has successfully helped clients adapt to ever-changing consumer behavior.
